Fire Depot Gas Horns become fluorocarbon-free from January 1st 2015.

From January 1st 2015, EU companies can longer manufacture or sell aerosol Gas Horns that use hydro fluorocarbon gas.

Fluorinated gases have a high global warming potential (GWP). A European Union Regulation (EU 517-2014) aims to reduce this major contributor to climate change.

New, fully compliant Fire Depot Gas Horns.

From January 1st, we’ll withdraw all Fire Depot stocks of legacy Gas Horns from sale. In their place we’re pleased to offer you a new, fully EU-compliant Horn.

Same value. Louder. Same blasts. More compact.

Utilising a more compressed fluorocarbon-free propellant, our new Gas Horn delivers as many alarm blasts from a more compact can.

    • Global warming potential (GWP) of 6 units vs 1430 units previously
    • Complies with new EU regulations
    • Longer, louder sound duration (now 120dB)
    • Single, non-flammable gas propellant

    Pre-order now.

Due to these legislative changes, we anticipate nationwide demand for compliant Gas Horns will be high by the New Year. To ensure continuity of Gas Horn supply for your customers, pre-order your new Fire Depot stock for early January delivery now.
