Most people run away from danger. Firefighters run towards it.
On Thursday 20th August 2026, the Firechief® Global team will be taking on the Rutland Water Challenge in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity. This event is part of the Walk in Their Boots Rutland Water Challenge campaign.

As part of our campaign, Walk in Their Boots, members of our team will take on a 23-mile relay around Rutland Water while carrying the weight of firefighter gear, including a 25kg vest. The Walk in Their Boots Rutland Water Challenge is a physical challenge with an emotional purpose: to raise awareness and donations for the people who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
Why We Are Walking

At Firechief® Global, fire safety is more than our industry. It is our purpose.
For more than 60 years, we have been committed to helping make the world a safer place. But fire safety has never just been about products, equipment, or compliance. It has always been about people.
At Firechief® Global, fire safety is more than our industry. It is our purpose, and every step we take is part of our commitment to making the world a safer place.
For more than 60 years, we have been committed to helping make the world a safer place. But fire safety has never just been about products, equipment, or compliance. It has always been about people.
Firefighters carry more than helmets, jackets, boots, and breathing apparatus. They carry responsibility. They carry pressure. They carry the physical and emotional impact of responding when others are in danger. Through our 23-mile relay around Rutland Water, carrying a 25kg vest, our team will carry a small symbol of that weight in honour of the people who protect us.
This challenge is our way of recognising that weight. Learn more about us! Above all, the Walk in Their Boots Rutland Water Challenge is about demonstrating support for firefighters.
Supporting the Fire Fighters Charity

The Fire Fighters Charity provides vital support to serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel and their families, including help with injury, rehabilitation, treatment, mental health, wellbeing, and life after service.
For firefighters and members of the wider fire services community, that support can make a life-changing difference. In the spirit of the Walk in Their Boots Rutland Water Challenge, we aim to contribute to that difference.
That is why Firechief® Global is proud to stand behind this cause, helping raise awareness and support for the firefighters, retired service personnel, and families who may need care after giving so much to others.
The Rutland Water Challenge
Our volunteers will walk around Rutland Water while carrying firefighter gear, helping to create a visible reminder of what firefighters carry every day.
This is not about comparing ourselves to firefighters.
- It is about respect.
- It is about walking with purpose.
- It is about raising awareness.
- It is about supporting the people who protect us.
In the weeks leading up to the challenge, our team will also be preparing through a series of training activities, including press-up challenges, plank challenges, and team fitness sessions.
Our Fundraising Goal

Firechief® Global is aiming to raise £1,000 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
Every donation helps support firefighters, retired fire service personnel, and their families when they need care, recovery, treatment, or emotional support.
We are inviting our customers, suppliers, partners, and wider fire safety network to support the challenge by donating, sharing our updates, and helping raise awareness as part of the Walk in Their Boots Rutland Water Challenge effort.
Walk In Their Boots
Fire safety is built on responsibility. As an industry, we all play a part in protecting people. Now, we have an opportunity to come together and support the people behind the uniform.
On Thursday 20th August 2026, Firechief® Global will proudly walk in their boots.
In the lead-up to the event, we will also be sharing a weekly challenge on Firechief® Global's LinkedIn, including press-ups, planks, and team training activities.
We are inviting our customers, suppliers, partners, and wider network to join the challenge, share their support, and help us raise awareness.
