Fresh ingredients, teamwork, and a day out of the office enjoying the Spring sunshine - that’s what our most recent One Team One Vision day was all about.
On a gorgeous May morning, the Firechief® Global team swapped extinguishers for aprons and got hands-on with hand-stretched dough at Brockleby’s near Melton Mowbray. The result? Dozens of delicious, wood-fired pizzas made from scratch with plenty of laughter and mishaps along the way!
All the ingredients for success
The latest One Team One Vision event commenced with the team getting to know each other better through a series of questions designed to learn more about the individuals we work with on a daily basis.
Some were easy, some more difficult, but it represented an opportunity for those who work in different teams to learn more about their colleagues and find shared interests.
We then headed over to the farm on the outskirts of the Leicestershire town for a pizza-making workshop and were given a brief introduction to the history of pizza making before getting hands-on with fresh ingredients as we made our pizzas from scratch.
For some, this was the first time they had ever made their dough from scratch, but everyone got stuck in (with varying degrees of success!).
The pizzas were then topped and put inside the pizza oven at 400°C before we got to the highlight of the day: the eating!
