Here at Firechief® Global, we commit to making the world a safer place, and that commitment extends beyond fire safety. Whilst we focus on safeguarding lives and property from fire, we also strongly believe in giving back to our community and the environment. Earlier this month, some of Team Firechief® took a break from their usual roles to help with conservation work at Rutland Water, a popular nature reserve just minutes away from our Oakham Head Office.
How did we assist with local conservation efforts?
The team split into two groups, with each group focused on reconstructing a section of dry stone walling. Dry stone walling is a traditional method of construction, creating walls using nothing other than the stones themselves. Reconstructing these walls not only helps to preserve the landscape around Rutland Water but also provides habitats for the local wildlife.
Why do we like to give back to the community?
Engaging in activities like this is part of our broader commitment to environmental stewardship. By contributing to the maintenance of local green spaces, we’re helping the environment whilst also giving something back to the community that we all work in. It’s initiatives like these that make us proud to be a part of the Firechief® Global family.
